Description

A Technician Apprentice is an entry level Service position meant for those that are new to the Technician’s role and/or are currently or will be enrolled in a Off-Road Diesel Technician Tech School Program. Additional Apprentice Responsibilities

  • Receive guidance from Managers and experienced technicians on how to diagnose, repair, and recondition equipment.
  • Shadow Technicians on service calls, to better learn how field calls are completed.
  • Assist & Shadow experienced technicians with difficult 2 person repairs.
  • Attend & complete any required Manufacturer Training.
  • Immediately report to Manager any difficulty or concerns.

Regular Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnosis, repair, and reconditions of machine systems and components
  • Complete thorough documentation on all reports and forms required with work assignments
  • Communicate machinery problems and resolutions to supervisor and customers
  • Utilize computer programs to effectively complete assignments
  • Seek and participate in appropriate training opportunities both local and off-site
  • Maintain technical and product knowledge
  • Identify customer service opportunities and implement solutions
  • Present a positive and professional image of Sioux International in the presence of customers and community
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery
